my new love
Since my birthday night I've been riding a long board on almost a daily basis. My body's starting to get a good work out each time as I push myself to cruise faster and learn turns better. Today, at the Greenwood Mall of all places, we discovered new stores one of which is half clothing store half skate shop. The long board Joe was going to order online from Sector 9 was at the shop, for $40 less. I told him to buy it and not only is he happy to have it, but I am, too. I'm getting a bamboo board as well from the same series, and I'm so stoked! I rode his new board tonight and it was so amazing. He's changing the trucks on the board I have now because they're entirely way too tight, so I'll actually be able to turn without having to try. I'm so in love with cruising it's sick!
Not only do I love boarding, but I love shopping, and my boyfriend got a rare hair up his ass and spent money on me at the mall. It was a lot of fun to be with him, just buying the things we wanted. I spent some of my own money, as well; bought a bad ass bikini from Old Navy I'll look good in this summer ... my weight is gonna drop from long boarding and I love that!!! Plus, my muscles are toning up at the same time. There's nothing but good things that can happen from long boarding!
It'll help pass the time while I look for work that's for sure. Anyway, I'll have to have Joe take some shots of me soon and post 'em.
