All hail our beloved Chavez!
I know how much liberal bias there is in the media today, I don't have to read Bernie Goldberg to figure it out (although I have). In my media theory class today we watched The Revolution Will Not be Televised, an adoring propaganda "documentary" that breathlessly hails Hugo Chavez as Venezuela's answer to Stalin-- I mean God. My professor asked me after class what I thought of the movie and I said it was propaganda. He looked at me like I had just spit in his face so I told him why. Never mind that 80% of Venezuelans are still poor. Never mind that my aunt, who was born and raised in Caracas (and still visits three times a year) tells it like it really is. Never mind that he hates America and has close ties (oil and otherwise) to Castro. It's fuckin' Hugo Chavez. So I gave him the finger and walked out. Haha, not really, but I should have. After all, libs aren't the only ones who can loudly (or vulgarly) stand up for what they believe in.
