Quick story time
So I don't really update this thing very much anymore, but I do have a kind of fun story from today.
After work today Chris and I decided to go out and run some errands, mostly to look for a freshwater puffer fish for him. Turns out that none of the pet stores in town carry them so, that sucked. I decided on my way home to check the Dusty Bookshelf for a few books that I'm looking for, once again no such luck. Well, as we were parking to get the books Chris recommends the idea of getting taco's at Auntie May's. It is Friday after all. Well we go to Auntie May's and find out that they aren't making tacos tonight, bummer. We each order a beer, drink our beer, and then decide to go to So Long for a burger.
When we walk into So Long there are two empty seats at the bar. We sit down, not taking note of who is at the table less than two feet behind our backs. After we've been sitting there a while I get up and go to the bathroom. As I'm coming back to my seat I notice that sitting at the table behind us is none other than K-State football head coach Ron Prince. I nudge Chris and quietly tell him to look at who is sitting behind us. He looks around and then when he sees Prince he's like "oh". Well, not wanting to waste the opportunity and of course wanting to be hospitable to the man running our football program, I patiently wait until there is a break in the conversation with the man he is sitting with and I said something to the effect of "Coach Prince, as a K-State football fan, can I buy you a drink?". He politely declined, but then we had a little small talk before continuing on with our respective meals.
