Notes on American Idol
Gokey- I love you! But you dissed Smokey Robinson and your performance wasn't as good as the judges led you to believe. I agree with Simon on this one, the middle was not so good.
Kris- Eh. It was okay but he was definitely over powered by the instruments.
Lil- Eh eh eh. I have no feelings about her whatsoever.
Anoop- Surprisingly good performance from someone I don't usually like. I wonder if he knows True Colors is a gay anthem?
Scott- You're a lounge singer and I hate the way you sing. You shout and go flat on big notes like someone just said "Open your mouth and say ah as loud as you can!" You look like you don't know how to use your mouth. Also, way to crack on the high notes. (Simon! How do you understand all my feelings on this!)
Allison- I love you. I love your hair and your ugly skirt and your big, beautiful, smoky voice. But, I believe you can still do better! I'm so sorry you're not going to win because Adam Lambert rocks the world :(
Matt- I think you have a great voice and you're going to have a career but I'm not the biggest fan of the style of music you excel in. This was a good performance though and a good song choice. However, that high note was not your friend at all. I believe you can hit it; you just didn't.
Adam- SHOWCLOSER! Uh...I may be slightly biased in this evaluation. YOU SANG ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS EVER! I loved loved loved it. Holy shit, Kid you blow me away. It was super creepy and high pitched and I loved every fucking second. If you don't win I'll eat my hat. AND SIMON! Simon gave him a standing ovation.
I need an Adam Lambert icon because I'm sensing a lot of future flailing.
