Tidbits from Tara

Utterly fantastic. That's the phrase I keep rolling around to everyone I've spoken to in public this afternoon in my best southern accent (terrible). How's the tea? UHddally Faaaantaaaastic. How are you finding things? (In the bookstore) UHdally FAAANTAAASTIC! My plan to get out more has backfired. The mental state in which I spend approx. 15 hours a day (deliciously chained to the neverending story) doesn't do much for my relative social sanity when I do float out to see things. I don't know when grinning like a mad idiot became the standard, but anything is capable of setting off prolonged hilarity at the moment. Just try me.

Last night I got cut up talking to Janet during a self-imposed break (through the wall while she took a bath) because the can of cola in my hand suddenly struck me as the funniest thing known to man, and I giggled so hard I nearly vomited. Mind you, this was the second can of Mecca Cola that we were gifted with, which IS fairly entertaining, but I absolutely ache all over from the episode.

I just re-read a really good book the other day. I might have recommended it before, but go get "Embers" by Sandor Marai (thank you Maria for sending it to me), and then after you stay up all night reading it until you go blind tell me!
