Paging Mr. Wizard

Quick stupid comment. Last month I was reading about new work done in tracking down the cause of deja vous. They determined that it might occur when you see something in your peripheral vision and then look directly at it a moment later. The first impulse takes a sidelong route through your brain, so to speak, because it's usually lower priority than your direct line of sight. Then, if you for some reason look right at it, when the initial, slower impulse hits after the 2nd look, you perceive the same first impression twice, but out of order. (Understandably, they've had difficulty testing this).

Anyhow, the point of me rambling through that garbage was to point out that I now have some piddly proof of my own. I turned around in my chair to attempt to burp on my 13 yr. old sister a moment ago. (As usual, nothing happened, 3 burps this lifetime and still counting). And, since she was busy reading a teen trash novel she didn't notice me until I made loud snorting sounds, at which time she looked up and said, "Piss off, ho. Woah, deja vous." Scientific f-u-c-k-i-ng method at work here, folks. Now, I just need everyone else to try it out. Burp, fart, I don't care what you try, but let me know if it works.
