I know some people are like evilderekwtf?! But I LOVE HIM. I can't help it. I think it's because Patrick Dempsey manages to give a multi-layered performance so when even acting mean to Mer you totally get it's only because he's hurting so badly and seeing how far he can push her. It's classic psychoanalysis yo, i'm sure there's a book written about it somewhere.
