Historically that hasn't been a strength for me.
LIKE. I hate losing debates to people that I legit won and teaching bratty ass middle schoolers who are supposed to be super smart while their standard level compadres kick ass. So all I'm gonna talk about is sports :)
Baseball: So maybe we did become everything we hate. Maybe we are the Evil Empire 2.0. But there's this thing in sports called "eras" and I don't mean E.R.A.s. I mean like epochs. And the era of the Indie Red Sox was apparently ended by signing Carl Crawford and A-Gon ( <-- that's stupid). But you know what, at this point I'm okay with it. I'd rather spend the money to win and watch the Yankees throw thirty years at Cliff Lee than sit back and lose. And we've been losing for a while. I'm ready for February - bring me my pitchers and catchers!
Basketball: SO LIKE THAT WIN AGAINST KENTUCKY - I was shrieking. I was SHRIEKING. I was sitting on my dad's giant red exercise ball and jumping up off of that every single time any little thing happened. This goes back to the eras thing - the era of Carolina getting a win guaranteed before conference play ended when we won the championship in 09. It's okay - we'll get better. And barring any super bad unforseen circumstances KNOCK KNOCK PLEASE G-D NO, me and coach are going to see the Heels play Texas next Saturday. Bring on the free stuff. I don't have any real comments about the Celtics - they keep winning, I keep smiling.
Football: We're not even gonna talk about it. The only thing I will say is THANK YOU to my aunt who got me a #6 Sanchez shirt for my birthday :)
Hockey: Can't comment. Haven't been able to catch a game. I'd bet we're still losing a lot. Go Devils. Bleh.
Soccer: In 14 hours and 49 minutes we play Wigan. I can't allow myself to get too worried about it or I'll never sleep. Why do I like sports so much it's not even fair that I have to worry about these guys. Nah just kidding I just have a lot of adrenalin right now.
I'm done with sports. Two songs I loved this Chanukah season:
"Candlelight" by the Maccabeats. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.
"Miracle" by Matisyahu. It's great to hear a Chanukah song that doesn't suck and isn't one that I've heard my entire life and ISN'T by Adam Sandler. Still good, by the way.
L-rd above. The adrenalin's dying. I need to go before it all goes away and this MAGNIFICENT playlist isn't even FINISHED yet.
I hope everyone's Chanukah was safe and lots of fun and that you all were able to remember the real reason for the holiday - G-d will always grant us miracles if we have a little faith in ourselves and a little spirit of our own :)
