I have some awesome big goals that I feel very excited about. They're very much dependant on something else though so it's hard being so excited about it but not feeling like I can even start doing anything towards achieving them ... but that's ok because I have some other shorter term goals to focus on right now. Which I am also quite excited about. I'm a pretty private person though and I don't generally discuss my goals a lot ... plus I like to surprise people with my success... SURPRISE SUCCESS ... almost always better than surprise boners!
I leave for India in just under 3 weeks which is both exciting and a bit scarey. I won't focus on the scariness of it, that's just something I'll have to work out myself I guess ... but as for excitement! WELLITY WELLITY WELLITY... I'm going to go to Ranthembore (sp) national park and hopefully be lucky enough to spy some WILD TIGERS! I also am going to make it to Choki Dani this time, unless there is more civil unrest that forces me into hotel lockdown, and ride an elephant and do some dancing and stuff. Jiggs has promised to take me to a club or two, or as they call them because for some reason a country with over a billion people seems awfully stuck in the 80's, a Discotechque! Also it's going to be LOVELY and hot this time around, heading into monsoon season, so I'm going to try and spend most of my free time in the pool and exploring the grounds. Last time I went I got put up at the Sheraton Rajputana, which was really nice, 5 Star International blah blah blah bling bling bling blah, but because of the immense amount of weddings there and the small grounds, it got very noisy. It didn't bother me much, and was actually very cool to witness all the hub bub of an Indian wedding, but I've used it as an excuse to ask for better accommodation this time, and I believe they're booking me into the Jai Mahal Palace Hotel, which is 5 star DELUXE. WOO! It has much bigger grounds to explore and stuff also.
It will be good to see everyone I worked with last year again and I'm going to take some photos of Jonty dressed up in his Indian baby clothes for them all to coo over. ^_^ I'm going to miss little Jonty a lot but it will be exciting to see him when I get back and hopefully see him smiling and giggling lots!
Last year, this year, and next year are going to be 3 very big years for me. I'm looking forward to being much more settled in a couple of years time, but trying to remain positive as always, I'm going to make sure I take a lot of joy and excitment from all the change that is going on right now. I think if things don't work out the way I'm hoping I might go over to Europe to be with Kimmy for a while and work. Maybe for a year. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but I think if it does I will need to do something big and different so I don't feel like I have all this wasted excitement and energy without creating a big change for myself. If things DO work out however, I will go and visit Kimmy for about 3 weeks or so I believe.
