i had a lot to tell and now i cant remember any of it
but some random notes:
i was finally able to go volunteer for eden, this club that passes out food to homeless people this past wednesday! and it was great, i love talking to the people and being able to help out a little bit...i met this awesome old man named Rabbit, we talked for a long time, he had a card, it was slightly reminiscent of my Sergio - the man with the van experience! wow
im going to see motercycle diaries tonight finally! after unsuccessfully trying to find a driver me and my friend mj have decided to take the Bengal Bus, a student driven van that takes you to old town Pasadena on Fridays...im not really sure how it works or where to meet it, so we'll see how it works out
hard week - Philosophy paper and Chinese midterm! I had an oral interview with my Chinese teacher and she said I understood it really well and had good response time and good grammar, which was exciting b/c i didnt realize i could actually speak Chinese my tones need a lot of work tho, real Chinese people probably couldnt understand me ALSO my paper was about whether or not we have free will
BIG NEWS: YOU DON'T HAVE FREE WILL (according to the philosophers, and at least not how you usually think of it) if you want explication, i know more than enough about the topic
i made Katie D an educationary selection of cds to listen to which i am disproportionately excited about i cant tell you what, b/c its a surprise for her, but it was great to go thru my cd collection and think about the music that really effected me or that went with a certain time in my life mmmmmm also, it is culminating in a Magnetic Fields mix which I just completed and am now listening to!
i think i'm going to go see the faint, this is exciting!
tonight i went to a hillel dinner, Bar Mitzvah themed they played all the music that they play at barmitzvah and people danced and they played the bar mitzvah games like Pepsi and Cola it was really weird b/c it made me think about all the bar/bat mitzvahs I went to and how much they defined seventh grade like how the whole ali/nikki/dave mahler incident happened at one remember that? and then it made me realize just how long ago seventh grade was! it seems like an eternity ago...at the same time its only 6ish years away but this is 1/3 of our lifetimes
