"Life is one sweet, beautiful song..."

Dec 07, 2004 11:53

Bye Bye Birdie is officially over. It feels really weird.

When I think about it, I honestly think its one of the best things I have ever done. Who would have thought? I go in there not really thinking I'd never even stand a chance to utter one line. Then, I come out as, Kim, one big teenage brat who is obsessed with herself and her love life.

It was all worth it, I know.

When I look at all the weird things we did...

And all the stories I laugh about....

All the sweet people I met...

I know it was worth all the pathetic outside drama, the long practices, the task of memorizing, the threat of having to sing those beastly high notes, and all the other dark, depressing, and unfortunate events. (As if there was any "dark, depressing and unfortunate" events to speak of)

Even through this play-this girls gone crazy for boys play-I am in awe of God. He created each one of these dramatic ones. With each he placed an awesome talent/desire to use the best of their acting abilities to entertain others. "Goin' Steady" may not be a song usually meant to praise God (oooh man!), but I think that the fact that God has created such people to do such thing brings glorification to His name.

I am so blessed to have met such amazing people with such amazing talents! Miss Stephanie has to be one of the best directors out there. (If she isn't, well I'll be darned)

But I think most of all, I'm glad I did this with these two awesome gals!

They are probably the biggest, fattest reason that I loved it all. They are both so sweet and encouraging (not to mention hilarious!). They encouraged me to do my best. They saved me from the scary scary scary things that happened ("Have you heard about...."). They helped me stay sane when girls around us were pouting and sulking and cussing and ranting when they didn't get their way. They made me laugh so hard at everything (moustache). I truly think they are some of the most awesome gals out there. God has great things in store for them.

So anywho, that is that. Long live Bye Bye Birdie. For the ride home here are some more pictures......

Such the drama always with these....

Oh those Alberts...

Whoa! Can this man play!

Grace looks so...so....studious!

Yep...she was the bartender.

This is what you get when you give a girl takes your camera and she says, "ok, yea! With you three! Just the homeschoolers!"

THE END.
