FUTURE OF SEX
I thought yesterday's class was very interesting. I especially liked the Dildo song that was played in the beginning - very catchy. To me it seems a little weird to want to make a "future of sex" meaning why can't sex just stay how it is now, why does everyone want to get away from the whole intimacy part of it? To me it just looks like that inventors are doing everything possible so we can just have sex to have sex and have there be no meaning to it whats so ever. I can't see ever living in a world like Demolition Man, that would be so crazy.
The sex machines they are coming up with are nothing less then scary, they seriously look like they are going to take flight or something. But, don't get me wrong the people who are inventing these things are amazing but i just don't see many of these toys being BIG things. I think that by coming out with such things as the life like dolls and such is going to cause many people to think they don't need real human contact when in fact it is a basic necessity for good mental development.
I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens in the future.
Just a note: Despite all the people that say they didn't like the class i enjoyed it very much and think it should be taught again. For those of us who took it seriously I think we learned alot about a topic that is otherwise really not talked about. Personally I am alittle wiser then when I came into the course and am very glad that I decided to take it.
