Since I've had short hair for the past 9 years, I'm trying to grow it out. I've tried this many times before, usually becoming aggravated and hacking away at it once it reached that awkward middle stage :\
The longest I've gotten it in the past 9 years was in late summer 2007 , before I freaked out and cut it again:
Now, I'm growing it out AGAIN... I'd like it to be at least as long as that very first pic up there, the one from 7th-ish grade, all one length (which will take even longer as I'm growing my bangs out as well.. *grumble*) before I dread again.
