alittle yeeeeehaw in the hay
i'm writing this from my bed, which is currently on the ground. strange.
megan and i did major loft dismantling this evening, and we were surprisingly successful. we had a few minor mishaps, of course- dropping the bed frame, watching helplessly as the biggest part of the loft came crashing down and took out everything in its path, etc. but all is well now. i was telling katie about it and then she kindly reminded me that i still have pictures way up high that i neglected to take down. hm. about that. i'm going to have to move the bed again so i can fit my ladder and salvage my C.ags sex shrine. good thing i do everything ass backwards. hahaha.
speaking of ass backwards, i had another classic sten moment yesterday. i spent all day writing notes for art history, and i was feeling really proud of myself for getting so much work done. so i was sitting in my room around 8, and erica comes in, and proceeds to ask me if i'm going to go study psych with nick later. i responded saying i probably would, but that it was funny that he kept wanting to study when psych wasn't until thursday. then she looked at me funny and said that she thought it was tomorrow (wednesday). i was like nooo, art history is wednesday, psych is thursday! and then, i looked at my art history schedule and realized that i had spent all day studying for an exam that was indeed on thursday, not wednesday, and i neglected psychology, a cumulative final, until 8pm the night before. needless to say, i panicked, and had to stay up until 3 cramming. hahahaha. i think the test went well despite all that, but it's hard to say. fjdklafjkdlafla. anyway, tonight i spent my time studying art history, which is ACTUALLY tomorrow, so, no worries.
i already feel so free right now even though i have 1 more final. my amazingly difficult magnum opus of an english paper was finished this weekend, and after that i felt light as a feather. the fact that psych, which is definitely the harder of the 2 finals is over, improves my mood even more. PLUS, its already THURSDAY, which means i'm just that much closer to going to west palm and seeing C.ags and my family. :) May, you are a wonderful month that has always been super good to me. thank you.
on sunday night i went to Round Up with some of the lax girls. its a country line dancing bar in Ft. Lauderdale and they all go a lot so i tagged along to take a break from studying and see whats up. obviously country music is totallyyyy my scene, so i didn't stick out like a sore thumb at all! haha, nah, i didn't really but it was funny. craig morgan was there performing, and i guess he's pretty well known because people were pumped. he wasn't bad and i have to admit, i got into it. i even downloaded a few of his songs when i got home...but i probably won't admit that to a lot of people, haha. anyway, we had a blast, there was plenty of drinky drinks and laugh-out-loud ridiculously stupid moments. it made me really excited for next year and lots of craziness with the team because they're super fun to hang out with. yay for that.
i went to my orientation for security the other day and that was funny as well. i was 1 of 4 white girls, out of a group of about 30-40ish people. it was amazing, haha. i'm really excited to meet some of the people and make money. it'll be tough, but a good job for sure. i'm really pumped for next year. ohhh and for living in pearson with megan katie and robin! yay! megan and i have been doing the most ridiculous things lately and it's going to be nonstop entertainment to live with her because we both get into crazy situations and then do things awkwardly, hahahaha. we need a tv show basically.
