at my 2nd home.
i had an entry all typed and then the power went out randomly.
its so weird here.
right now i'm at my aunt's house with gram. i got in yesterday afternoon and have been eating ever since. haha, no shame. it's been nice to have some downtime with the fam- but i really miss my mom. i'm sad that i haven't gone home all semester and that it's been almost 4 months since i've last seen my parents. but, they're coming down in 2 weeks so until then, gram is making raviolis and i'm finishing up my first year of college. crazy.
yesterday while waiting for the train, i met a girl from Chicago who goes to UM and lives in Stanford. she was really cool and it was nice to have someone to ride with. we were on the platform just talking away, waiting where the train ALWAYS comes, and a guy suddenly came up to us telling us that if we were going northbound we had to get to the other side. this was at 9:32, and since the train was supposed to come at 9:36 we were like SHIT! and no joke, just as we were running down the stairs to get to the other side, the train pulled up. we just made it on and both considered ourselves INSANELY lucky...in a really creepy way. after that we sat down next to a guy who must have made 15 cell phone calls in 2 minutes. when it became clear that he was going to do that for the duration of the trip, we relocated. the rest of the ride was smooth sailing, and she got off at Boca, which was about 20 minutes before West Palm. after that it was just me and my rachael ray mag. good times.
it'll be nice to have my car next year so this trip isn't so long- and so i can stay longer. but i can't complain, its cheap and convenient. or whatever. ha.
Blink is a really interesting book and i wish i read it at the beginning of the semester.
on that note, i'm becomming more and more of a nerd each day in terms of the books i find interesting. HOWEVER, i am not reading my archeology book for fun yet, so i think i'm still a step above a certain, insufferable know-it-all. ;)

on that note, i'm hungry because i haven't eaten in 10 minutes.
