He felt the kid settle down into the pillow, his muscles relaxing and his fingers squeezing Leonard's in their joint grip. “Teenagers?” he murmured. “Russians? Blondes?”

He grabbed Chekov's hand and twined their fingers together, pulling their hands tight against his chest. “When did I agree to being your teddy bear?” he demanded, feeling the soft press of lips against the back of his neck.

Chekov kissed his way down to Leonard's shoulders before answering. “The first time I had nightmares and you kept giving me brandy until I fell asleep,” he said. “I woke up in the morning and you were drooling on my shoulder.”

This just broke my heart. Poor Chekov. Bones is gonna keep you safe! *squeeeeeee* (And maybe a certain someone else at the brothel, too. Hmmm...) *flails her arms* This verse is so wonderful. I love Bones in the position of guardian and friend and lover and teddy bear all at once. <3
