By the way, I've done more of these. Just thought I'd mention it 'cause you seemed to like the last ones. As you can tell, I am obsessed with Miko Kusanagi's ninja status and her alliance with a certain Czech scientist. PS, I created quite a few new tags for this entry with the intention to write fanfiction for those fandoms. But not now.
Random trivia fact number eleven: Before Vala Mal Doran left Atlantis, she was ambushed by Zelenka and his petite ninja accomplice and forced to give back all of the Ancient artifacts - sorry, "souvenirs" - she'd stolen. Miko took pity on her and let her keep the nose hair trimmers - although she didn't tell Vala what they were for.
Random trivia fact number twelve: It was two weeks until anyone from the expedition realised that Daniel Jackson had been left behind when the Prometheus left for Earth. The reason behind this involved a cloning device, a secret lair in the city's storage section, and sneaky midnight food runs.
Random trivia fact number thirteen: It was four weeks until anyone on the Prometheus realised that they'd left Daniel behind, although Vala did wonder why he was suddenly so eager to share her bed. When Daniel was finally returned to Earth through the Stargate (following protests from Atlantis's archeology department and an attempt by Drs Parrish and Brown to officially adopt him as their pet), two months later, Vala insisted on keeping the clone.
Random trivia fact number fourteen: The entire science team threw a party in Cameron Mitchell's honour on his last day in the city. The only two people not present were Dr McKay and the poor minion who'd been given the task of keeping him away from the party.
Random trivia fact number fifteen: Carson's baby turtles were mysteriously enveloped in a time dilation field shortly after he left Earth to rescue Atlantis from the replicators. They have now involved into a super race capable of destroying both the Ori and the Wraith. Unfortunately, they are approximately one millimetre across and it would take them thousands of years to even get to the Stargate.
Random trivia fact number sixteen: When the Starship Enterprise fell through a black hole and ended up in this universe, Picard took one look at the city, declared "Let us not go to Atlantis - it is a silly place", turned his ship around and left the way he came.
Random trivia fact number seventeen: The mysterious herb from the planet Opatia has now officially been banned on Atlantis. All record of the actions of certain expedition leaders after eating the herb have been destroyed, and the video of Elizabeth Weir dancing on the tables in the mess (which totally did not happen) has been taped over, deleted, smashed, burned, buried, dug up again and fed to the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal.
Random trivia fact number eighteen: After Sheppard's team returned from P3X-773 with a cute, furry critter and instructions never to get it wet, feed it after midnight or expose it to bright light, the planet was voted most popular in the "I would rather be fed upon by a Wraith than go there" category.
Random trivia fact number nineteen: Rodney has ordered his minions to start speaking Klingon every time Sheppard enters a lab, in the hope that this will get him to stop poking his nose where it isn't wanted. Unfortunately, he has underestimated Sheppard's level of geekiness and doesn't realise that Sheppard speaks the language better than some of the scientists.
Random trivia fact number twenty: In memory of the Storm in which the Genii tried to take over Atlantis, Rodney turns all of the showers in the city freezing cold for one day a year. Every time someone tries to complain about this, he reminds them of the scar on his arm and claims that they are ungrateful for the sacrifice he made for the city. If this doesn't make them shut up, the threat of recreating the lightning strikes in their quarters usually does the trick.
(I wrote this next one after my sister called me an enigma)
Random trivia fact number twenty one: Enigmas are small scaly creatures found on PMX-438. They like to eat native berries and they hibernate during the winter (which occurs four times a cycle on its home planet). They are similar to Conundrums, but approximately half the size. Atlantean biologists have found a genetic link to the rare Ambiguity of P4X-966, which suggests that they share a common ancestor.
(The next ten are crossovers. Sorry if you don't recognise the fandoms - you can ask me if you want to know)
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty two: It took three days, fifty Marines and one Ronon Dex to get Yuffie Kisaragi and Miko Kusanagi out of the control room, where they'd created their Ninja HQ. Dr Zelenka claimes to have been a hostage, but no one really believes him.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty three: John tried to tell Buffy that staking a Wraith through the heart wasn't going to kill it, but did she listen... McKay had to cause a distraction so that Teyla and Ronon could get the Slayer out of there.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty four: Apparantly, John's daemon is a squirrel. No one was surprised. But Rodney almost became the next bearer of the Subtle Knife when he tried to get it away from Will to study it... luckily, Kirjava knocked him out of the way just in time.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty five: The first time Death turned up to collect one of his scientists, Rodney had a panic attack. Now they sit down and have a cup of tea and a chat before Death goes back to his castle. It's amazing what you can become used to.
Ronon likes Binky.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty six: Everyone thought Spock was John's distant relative - something to do with the ears. But Spock pulled off the eyebrow thing way better than Sheppard ever could. The highlight of his visit was when he made Heightmeyer cry.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty seven: Lorne was sorted immediately into Gryffindor, Zelenka and McKay into Ravenclaw, Chuck into Hufflepuff and Kavanaugh into Slytherin, but the Hat took a hell of a long time deciding whether to place John in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Eventually it spontaneously combusted and the Athosians roasted the Pegasus equivalent of chestnuts on its burning remains.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty eight: As it turns out, those with the ATA gene also have a significantly high level of midichlorians. Eventually, Radek managed to dissuade Rodney from becoming a Sith by bribing him with the last of his chocolate supply. John hide the green lightsaber and vowed never to use it... which went completely out of the window the next time the Wraith attacked, but that's another story.
Random trivia crossover fact number twenty nine: Laura Cadman was almost the Doctor's new companion, but after joining him on one trip in the TARDIS and realising that she couldn't mess with the timeline and make it so that dinosaurs still ruled the Earth, she decided that she'd rather stay on Lorne's team and shoot things.
Random trivia crossover fact number thirty: After three days, Teyla and Captain Sparrow both agreed that neither of them was going to win the duel. However, when he then offered to buy her a drink, she hit him with a flying kick that knocked him to the ground and was declared the winner.
(This is my favourite)
Random trivia crossover fact number thirty one: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has this to say about Atlantis:
This Alterran city, lost to the depths of the ocean as a last minute preservation tactic when it looked like the Wraith were going to kick their collective asses, has just recently been re-discovered by some primitive descendants of the Alterrans called Humans. These apes, who until just recently didn't even have hyperspace travel capabilities, are doing a pretty poor job of looking after the city, mostly due to the fact that they have no idea how to make a simple ZPM. What's more, they are even keeping the discovery of the city a secret from most of their homeworld's population. Talk about a backwards species.

The highlight of Ford Prefect's visit to Atlantis was when the city's sentient AI declared him King of Atlantis and refused to let anyone else access her systems on the basis that she had finally found an intelligent lifeform.
