I decided to wake up today and work on "Waiting Lines" yet again, I thought the lyrics in the demo version were a step in the right direction, but it still needed some structuring and more cohesive melody. I will probably re-write these again and work towards that perfect version of this song. In writing these lyrics I was trying to utilize more even and full breaths and kept in mind what would sound good with Sam and I singing interchangeabley and/or in unison.

"Waiting Lines (draft eight)"

I have never enjoyed so much the rush and charge
From your touch
With such charm-and such grace
We ascend to the higher place
(with the constellation and stars
At our feet, we leave behind ashes of defeat)
I’ve waited many years just for this silver line
A point in which I can explain “you my love,
You are mine”
Fires burn deep inside
And when in your presence I can’t hide
My love

I have waited- true- for years
And suffered through the willows tears
Through the oceans of loss and regret
Full of the years I cannot forget
With frozen lips just like our hearts
We patiently await summer to start
I live and die here in this hole
My debts are heavy
My heart pays a toll
Taken from what the vultures stole
Now they rip my pound of flesh
As I weep tears and I confess
I…love…you…

I have waited for a silverline
A point to smile
And for that place in time
I spent hours in the fields of yellow flowers
Removing petals that wilt and sour
The pollen rushes through the air
And you my love are still not here
I wait in line
Wait in vain
-With an ailing heart that pangs
(Nothing will ever stay the same)
On new years day we kissed
And on new years day I missed
The stars of yesterday
That shine so bright but won’t stay
