Yesterday I went to a 90th birthday party for Alma, the lady that used to live down the street from me.  (On a side note, doesn't it seem like kind of a horrible idea to throw a surprise party for a 90 year old?  Jumping out and shouting surprise at the poor old woman?  Luckily she didn't keel over, but jeez...)   She lived 2 houses down from me until a couple years ago when she moved to Simeon-Dewitt (the old people dorms) and was basically like another grandma to me.  A bunch of people from the neighborhood were there (slightly awkward times with Father Wurz ensued) and it was just really nice.  I realize a lot of people don't make it to 90 and Alma's still kicking, but it was really good to actually have a chance to see her and tell her how much she's meant to me over the years before, you know, it was too late.  Too often people don't get a chance to do that, or don't think of doing it, probably because they don't want to think about the fact that somebody might no longer be with them some day and it would be kind of awkward to be like, hey in case you die soon, you're awesome and I love you.  But hey, it was nice to have that chance.

On a the rest of my life kind of note, we're moving all the junk out of Taste-Buds and made over $100 in bottle returns.  It sucks to be moving everything out but the ceiling is literally probably gonna cave in pretty soon (we've been having a bit of a snow melt-down for all you kids that aren't in oswego) and I'm gonna laugh really really hard when it does.  I just hope we get the TVs out before that happens.
