Something about being in a dungeon had Victor a tiny bit on the clingy side, so it was really no surprise he turned up in Olive's room as soon as he'd gotten out of class.

"Hey," he said from the doorway. "So, I see you have some heavy reading material there."

"They have a chair named 'Poang,'" Olive noted, glancing up with a slight smile. "I really can't resist anything with that kind of fun onomatopoeia involved in their name, you know."

"Is it a bouncy chair?" Victor asked, and went over to sit next to her on the bed. "'Cause with a name like 'poang,' I'd feel ripped off if it just sits there."

"It's like, ergonomic," Olive supplied thoughtfully, turning the catalog so he could see the picture. "So sort of bouncy, but in a productive way." She glanced at him, and added, "How're you doing?"

She was pretty sure chairs weren't at the forefront of his mind, but you know, with Victor it was sometimes hard to tell.

"Good," Victor said -- which held for all of a second before it turned into, "You know. I've been better. But ... no nightmares last night."

"That's an improvement," Olive said mildly, reaching up to trail her fingers lightly through his hair. "I mean. Do you want to talk about it?"

She wasn't really inclined to push, at all, but she worried.

Victor dropped some of his tension at the fingers in his hair. "Maybe," he said. "Are you sick of hearing about it? Or, like, is it healthier to just say it's over and move on?"
