Are these really the days of our lives?

Sometimes this job really does suck.  Sure I can appear wherever I want, come and go as I please, answer to no one, and I'm also immortal, which is nice, since who wants to get old.  Most days its easy to feel good about the never ending battle against evil, I've finally gotten to get my friends back together, even if they all haven't always been my friends.  I still love em, even the ones I used to hate.  Having them all close is making this harder, its not fun to watch Faith die, knowing that I helped it happen.

There are all sorts of sayings other powers use to ease their guile.  Then ends justify the means.  The good of the many outweigh the needs of the few.  None of that helps.

Faith died because I wanted it to happen.  Now the world has another slayer.  Wes making his deal to get Faith back was also part of the plan.  Right now, the world needs as many slayers as it can get.

Now the world needs something else.  Appearing in the hotel I knocked on a door.  On her door.  This isn't going to be easy to explain, but it has to be done.

"Dawn?  Can we talk?"
