Stock tips
I really don't know what to do with my LJ account.
So these are not stock tips, just some notes of what the fuck I'm doing with my accounts. If you're eavesdropping or have cool things to add, awesome. But these are not recommendations.
Today:
ADDED:
PANL: Universal Display Corp dropped 18% today because it missed estimates. It missed estimates because their warrant liabilities are too high. Translation: They missed their earnings because their stock price is so high that when they gave out options it was worth more than they thought it was. Sounds like a stupid reason to lose 1/5 of your market value. I expect to make 10-15% in 2 weeks.
LLY: Eli Lilly- Popped up in 2 out of my 3 screens for awesome stocks. 50 cent dividend today. No real reason, thought i'd get in on that. Long term hold. good divvys, profit margins and fundamentals. Will sell half at 20% gain, let the rest ride.
AYR: I love airplane leasing stocks. Mostly buying AYR and selling FLY because the numbers have gotten better on AYR. Same company, really.
SOLD
FLY: Like the segment, just switching the stock. I alternate between FLY and AYR every year or so.
ASFI: debt collection company. meh. did well, up 30% for me, but stagnant now. Remember to sell shit that no longer performs.
NZT: pays huge dividends. Held for 5 years. It's time. May revisit if other short term investments pay off.
FRO: oil tanker stock. great time to be holding oil. Just a crappy time to be moving it. may also revisit. when they pay dividends they make an awful lot of money...
