Bonjour
Ach! So this week has started off a bit weird. I was supposed to have a passover event tonight, but when I arrived at the house I was promptly told that the event wasn't until tomorrow night. Alas, for them in particular but for me as well, I have been booked all day tomorrow. So, I called into the sales reps and told them what had happened. All is not boding well with this predicament. There's a staff shortage for Easter festivities and with the breakdown tonight it basically means $200 blown that could have been in my pocket. Granted it isn't the company's fault but it sure stings that I won't even get the usual 4 hour minimum fee just for showing up. *sigh* On the good side I was able to work out a deal to supervise tomorrow @ the Tanenbaums and make a bit more on my hourlies -- which is wonderful news!
I kicked some butt at the gym today and had a fantastic 10 chili orange beef dinner from Salad King... only to find that tonight's episode of 24 was a not so jack-centric snore bore. WHY do you trick with me so cruel fates?
Really diggin' on some Diamanda Galas right now. I'm going through the La serpenta canta album at the moment. Her version of I Put A Spell On You wigs the bejesus out of me! At first I thought it was the version that was used in Natural Born Killers but, it doesn't add up considering that the album was released in 2003. Could she have been sitting on this single waiting to release it on an album for almost a decade?
As a matter of fact, I've been going through a lot of older stuff in my collection. I've sprung out all the old KMFDM, Ministry, Manson albums and played them one after the other. It all reminds me of Spammy. Dude! Oh how I miss yeh!
Anyway, 6am comes too soon these days. A long day tomorrow. But I thought I'd pop my head in and leave an update. It's spring! It's spring! A magical thing!
