When last we checked in with Trent, he was railing at the industry, at emo, and promising the forthcoming Year Zero would be a "concept album ... a soundtrack to a movie that doesn't exist." He didn't sound too happy. And the first track to surface from the record has him back to his devices, doing the speaking-then-searing vocal thing over a web of spare electronic beats and nightmarish industrial glitches.
