Summer in the "Big Hot"...

As I dust off the ole live journal, I find that there is not that much to write about.

I got my neice and nephew hooked on MST3k. I found that out on the 4th weekend when I went to my folk's house where they are spending the summer. I had packed both Box Set Vol. 4 & 5 plus my entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy along with the weekend's clothes. What did I end up doing? I left my bag on the bus when I went to make my transfer. I mean how stupid can you be. It wasn't until Tuesday when I could call the Lost and Found. Of course, no bag with XL clothes and almost $160 worth of DVDs had surfaced...no big suprise. Duh...

Work is generally...work. The website for the company drudges onward. Its tedious work because I have to generate everything. Artwork, copy, layout, menus, the works. Then the powers that be will pick apart what I hath wrought. As it has always been, those with the ideas find they are changed by ones who do not have the capacity to have a creative thought. So shall it always be...must....work....on.....resume....must....get....portfolio....together....

About six months ago, I took on the Dark Tower, Stephen King's mega epic 7 novel juggernaut. I have found it most satisfying so far. It's quite a mindbender of a story but now that I have a moment to reflect back on the past 5 books, it seems like most of King's works. My only concern is that the end might be like The Stand. The kind of wrote-myself-into-a-corner-so-I-had-the-hand-of-God-come-down-and-set-off-the-nukes-destroying-R.F. After the last book is read, he will probably spend another 100 on the explaination. I hope so.

So what have we learned today?
3 day weekends make the next week go by so much quicker.

So until next time
"Pog Mahone!"
