(no subject)
On occasion (usually at Christmas time) I have managed to get my parents to sit down and watch Doctor Who. While talking to my dad on the phone today I was astonished to find out that he actually watched Deep Breath of his own initiative. He had no idea who the "lizard woman" and the "weird looking munchkin guy" were (despite having seen The Snowmen). He really liked Capaldi and was pleasantly surprised by the Matt Smith cameo. He missed a few minutes in the middle of the episode and so he didn't know what happened to the dinosaur and he said "I guess I probably won't watch the next episode" and I said "NO YOU SHOULD I THINK IT'S GONNA BE A GOOD ONE" (note: I have no idea whether it will or will not be a good one).
