okay so i was just looking up some study guides on the things they carried on the internet, and one site claims that jimmy cross is supposed to be like jesus
i find this a little wierd.
this is what it says:
Hints in the Story:
Jimmy Cross' initials are J. C. (like Jesus Christ)
Jimmy Cross: Last Name is Cross (as in crucifix)
Martha: Jesus had a friend named Martha too
it also refers to the way jimmy cross thinks about lee strunk rising from the dead, and how jimmy suffers the grief of his people, and apparently this means he is like jesus. whatever.
if anyone else had ever thought about this earlier, or thinks it has any credibility let me know, otherwise i think im going to erase it from my memory. its so obscure that i think it will stick though, i have a feeling im going to be sitting in the exam tomorrow thinking about ways jimmy and Jesus are similar... hmm...
