Dayummm
After six long years, the verdict is finally in. Erap Estrada has been found guilty of plunder, not guilty for perjury. I think most people could settle for that, and obviously some are outraged about this, both for and against the ruling. On the way to work, I said a small prayer while going past Edsa Shrine, and I'm happy that it has been answered. I'm happy that at least my participation in Edsa II was not in vain. Well, not completely.
Anyway, while watching the news (this is rare, I hate politics and the news depresses me), people who participated in the Pro-Erap rally today were questioned as to whether they have any idea what plunder means. Half (and I'm being nice here, coz it was actually zilch) of the people questioned had no clue what it was (one woman thought it was something related to Erap's incurable womanizing), and yet they're on the streets protesting that the court was wrong, and that he is completely innocent. One man even admitted that he's only there to hold up the signs. Seriously, things like this depress me to no end. Womanizing, really? One person couldn't even say plunder! Right. I'm not even gonna go there anymore.

Do mothers derive pleasure from nagging their children to no end? Do they wake up every morning and think "Hmmm, is today a good day to nag my children about every possible thing in their life and ultimately piss them off? I think it is!" I love my mom, completely and infinitely, but sometimes she just makes me want to AHHHHHHHHHHHH scream and gouge my ears with a rusty nail. Then submerge my head in a pool of acid and set my body on fire. Am I going to end up like her when I deal with my own children? Let the earth open up and swallow me whole if that happens, I dunno if I should even have children anymore coz I WILL probably end up like her. Woe.

I'm SO happy, Mav has started watching Doctor Who AND plans to watch Torchwood as well. I am SO HAPPY, I don't care if that makes me a total geek, but more people need to know about The Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness, and I will preach the word of teh pretty as much as I am able!!!
