I had an early afternoon flight, so not much chance to do much. I found a delightful little cafe called Essence Bakery Cafe, and also soaked up a last little bit of sunshine
At the airport I discovered...mysteriously at the AirTran Airlines place in Milwaukee....there were huge lines of people clamoring to check their bags as they fled to warmer climates. However checking my bags to go BACK to Milwaukee....I was by myself. Typical....I still say I'm going to be that one car going INTO New York City during the Apocalypse.
My subconscious was ever ready to provide a soundtrack to the experience. As the plane took off I suddenly had stuck in my head: "So if you care to find me, look to the Western Sky. As someone once told me, everyone deserves a chance to FLY!"
As I waited for my bags, there was a Roadrunner ad directly in front of me. I'm thinking next time I'm in Arizona will have to go to the zoo so I can see a REAL roadrunner and coyote. Hm....and maybe get a tour of the Acme company....
When I drove home...the clouds seemed like a ghostly version of the mountains I'd been watching the day before....and am feeling a bit like Dorothy when the movie returned to black and white.
