Finally, a breather! Time for a sum up:
From my last posting, I saw:
Wintuk: A-Ma-Zing. For my first Cirque show it was... wait, what am I talking about? They're all fucking amazing! It certainly was modern in the beginning, as I expected; I have a very low opinion of American mentality and since this show is exclusive and 'designed' for New York, I wasn't surprised. That aside it was still very impressive and the second half of the show was pure Cirque. Very satisfied, will see it again.

I Met:
Eileen Ivers (fifth time): Champion fiddle player, she comes to the theater I work at at least once a year, this was her second show this year, a Christmas show. I never work those days, I buy tickets because there's no way in hell I'm going to be sitting in a coat room while she's playing. It's impossible to sit still, you just can't do it. Her musical and physical energy is boundless; the woman is BOUNCING all over the stage AND playing at the same time. The worst thing about her shows is the fact that you're sitting through the entire thing; there isn't enough room in the theater for all 250 (always sold out) people to get up and dance with her. She always invites the audience to stand up and dance (read: wiggle) in the limited space for the encore, which usually last about half an hour because no one wants her to leave. And goddamn it she would stay if she wasn't on a time constraint. She's the sweetest person in the world and won't leave until she's shaken hands with everyone who comes up to the meet-and-greet. If you like Irish music, traditional and modern, and you haven't seen Eileen Ivers live in concert yet, you're out of your fleepin' mind.
(Shameless Ego Boost: She actually remembers my name XD She unplugs her electric fiddle around the end of the show and skipps though the audience, but I was the only one she high-fived on the way around :fangirl hand-wringing: so awesome!)

Paula Cole: One of the most passionate singers I have ever seen/heard. I never saw her live until yesterday and for some reason I had a sinking feeling that she was going to be one of those famous artists that... just weren't all there (I think it was because I has seen Eileen a week before). Boy was I wrong. She looks and sounds just like she had when she debuted. She was also very nice; she put out boxes for a coat drive in the lobby and, while she didn't have a meet and greet, convinced her manager to let her stay and at least say hi to the staff.

Amy Lee: Yeah, from Evenescence. She was the surprise guest at Paula Cole's show and the two of them sang together. I almost didn't recognize her in her bohemian chic outfit and very short hair, but man can she sing. Also very nice and very human.

For those of you who don't believe me, I has photo-proof :P coming soon to a LJ near you.

I also need a little help from you dollie pals out there: I'm looking to make my MSD taller without boots. He's 43cm and comes up to Erebos's crotch. It's not flying with me, he's too short, but I love him too much to get rid of his head. I'd like him to be shoulder high to an SD, which would bring him to about Ere's mid-section. Does such a body exist? Toby's head is huge, so I'm not too concerned with that area XD His head actually looks kind of bobbly on his own neck.

Thanks! :D

Your Christmas is Modern

Your wish for the New Year is more happiness.

For you, Christmas is secular holiday. Religion doesn't play a big part in it.

You are patient when it comes to Christmas. You don't celebrate too early, and you don't like seeing holiday decorations in October.

You like Christmas traditions, but you're not uptight about them. You do things your way.

You have some preferred ways of celebrating Christmas, but you're open to compromise.

You enjoy Christmas more than anyone you know. Some might call it an obsession!

You try to give as much as possible during the holidays. You are quite generous.

What Does Your Christmas Say About You?
