Good night
It's been a while, but I had a really good night tonight. After bowling this afternoon I set off to explore some of the places in Dallas I've been meaning to go to. I found a couple cool hidden parks and got to joins some strangers' picnic and they turned out to be really cool. I found some giant sculptures of teddy bears and this strange concrete 'bowl' that you could whisper in and other people in it could hear you. I talked with a guy about his 20 years experience in the marines and what it was like to visit Japan in 1958. He even remembered quite a bit of Japanese from back then! Heard some awesome jazz at three places and have a couple more I need to visit. Found out the history of the electric mandolin. Ate some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. I filled in as a extra in a independent film they were filming in some dive bar, so maybe I'll have credits in the film. That would be cool. And I just got to talk to a lot of cool people. I need to get out and explore Dallas more, and do some things by myself. Today was good.
