Animefest 2003

Animefest was a lot of fun again this year. Thursday I went to pick up my registration, but printer hadn't delievered anything yet. The woman running the desk was really nice though and made me a badge anyway.

Friday was the first actual day of the convention. Since they were having problems with the printer I stopped by work first and went to the convention a little after noon and picked up a schedule. I ran into Gloria there and we watched Stellivia of the Universe (recommended) before heading to the first panel by Monkey Punch. He is the artist that draws Lupin III. I got a picture of Lupin drawn by him on Saturday. I was amazed at the amount of western influence that is part of the show. 007, Tom and Jerry, Spy versus Spy and many more I don't remember right now. The relationship between Zenigata and Lupin was based on Tom and Jerry. Then we watched the most recent Ghibli movie and ate Shabu Shabu at Mr. Sushi. I always wanted to try it and it was delicous. I got back in time to watch some of Anime Hell which constisted of a lot of bad cartoons, dubs and asian TV. The last thing I watched was the I's OVAs. They were awful.

I'll write some more later as well as post pictures. I'm still typing in dvorak and my hands are a little sore now. I forgotten a little during the weekend. Now for a little Soul Caliber 2 and some ice cream.
