AVI->DVD
After weeks of off and on experimentation I found the magic formula for converting AVI to MPEG2 (DVDs). The trick is not to enlarge the picture with Quicktime, but with the utilities that come with the conversion software. I believe Quicktime optimizes the picture while it's playing, but not while frameservering. My previous test disks looked pixelated and jagged, but the new ones look great, except for where the source is messed up. Last night I converted Hanaukyo Maids Tai 1-7 and 8-15 are in progress while I'm work. merxyn will be happy to finally see the end of the series I think.
junkyfx, I'll try to work on the .hack episodes soon. When you are merxyn are finished with the first series we can watch them.
(I just got an SMS on my phone from Mike! Cool!) I'll try to put them up somewhere, but they are fairly large.
New rumors of a possible Apple annoucement this week for new 15" and 17" laptops. I hope they release them soon, but I'm really waiting for the new 12".
