cleaning out the sims 2 cc, Sims2Categorizor

I'm a download junkie. I love custom content. And I download quality stuff, even though I'll most likely never use it-- like fantasy/middle-ages themed stuff.

But like most I have a certain amount of stuff I use no matter what, over and over again. My sims seem to have similar tastes. Mid-century modern stuff, and the really gorgeous, well made stuff by creators like trappingit, adele, buggybooz, jon119, blakeboy, macarossi, yuxi, Ja, etc.

To make a long entry short, I'm on a deleting binge. Mostly recolors of things I use sparingly. And a little here and there adds up. I've deleted maybe a 200-300 files so far. A drop in the bucket, but its a big drop from a big bucket.

Originally I thought the problem was that the Sims2Categorizor program was too slow. Its an awesome program, actually. Especially if you want to avoid orphans. But it would scan practically your entire computer to find a few obscure recolors that go with a certain mesh. For some reason I wonked up my computer and now sims2cat won't fully process its search. I get the red bar and an error message. So now I'm deleting stuff from the In-Game menus.

That's WAAY slower than Sim2cat!

Oh, Sim2Cat! I'll never besmirch you again! I should have appreciated you while I had the chance!
