There is a big identity movement going on about how aweful it is to have an account on Myspace and probably similarly-- Livejournal, but I dont see any problem with it.
I don't own an account on Myspace, but the basic Idea of making a data copy of yourself and sending it off to be evaluated by differant (but moslty local) people of the world has nothing inherently wrong with it. Much in the same way drugs (alchohol and tobacco among them) have nothing inherently wrong with them. They are there and exist with a purpose in regard to people sharing information about lives.
Of coarse people overuse it, that is a problem with their caracter.....Not the medium.
Now on to something I am interested.
