subject to the result of 2 phone calls later today, I may be staying in atlanta. failing both of those, I'll only be going as far as greenville SC. what does this mean to you jerks? it means Frolicon is go and Thandor ain't going too far. That being said, we're way behind on funding for Frolicon and unless someone sends me $250 in the next 2 days, we're stuck on the larger budget. I'm going to start putting the hours into party planning and see what we're going to do.
after some reading, I think we're going to do our main open-door on Friday night, since there looks to be a small void since the FAGG bash is moving to thursday. Also, I'm entertaining the idea of a morning after lounge sunday morning with mimosas and bloody marys and screw drivers and what not. kind of a wake you up after the other parties shut down. not sure yet, I need to do some planning and talk to some people. and we need some damn funding. I'm trying to stretch what money we already have as far as it will go (to include not checking in until Friday) and a dozen other things, but there's only so thin I can spread the wealth. after looking at the numbers a little closer, I think we can pull this off well enough with about $900, but I hate to cut that close to the bone. still, we do what we gotta. there will likely be more beer and less blue stuff due to this. which means I need to get to lupin and get his ass moving (along with passing along what funding I have already recieved). damn beer, costs money and takes time. but we'll make it, we always do.
oh, and those that are staying in the main hotel, go to the Order side, sign up for the forums, and read the part where you all need to email me so we can pool the hilton rewards points and what not and see about making free party room happen next year. same for those that stay in any marriott or hyatt over the next few months. we're pooling the points to pay for party rooms at the cons. I'm going to go make reservations for POC (play on con) now and assume we're going to make that happen
