The kids are watching it right now. It's the part where the turtle moves on. I hate this part....
ANYWAY...My niece stayed with us last night. The kids all went out and caught some fireflies, and we heard a coyote pack outside. It was totally cool. And we got eaten alive by mosquitoes.
I had this fantastic idea this morning. I thought we should all take a bike ride before it gets too hot. The ride I wanted to take was super shady anyway so I thought (oops) that everyone would be okay. We started at one park. Mothra was on her bike, Hailey had her bike, and Zilla was behind me in the big mama bike trailer. I kind of forgot the little detail that my kids are just like me in the motivation department. I'm not really highly motivated to do anything. At all. So half-way through the ride, Mothra went in the bell jar. She TOTALLY fell apart. We finally made it to the other park. We sat on a bridge. We watched some turtles, fish, and geese. And left when the geese started to get out of the water (because they're evil). So, we got back on the bikes, and Mothra started crelling (crying/yelling) like crazy. I thought someone was about to call CPS, so I hid her bike under a bush, put her in the trailer with Zilla (ignoring the sign on said trailer that says, "Do Not Exceed 100 lbs") and we busted tail to get back to the van, to drive back to the bush, to get the bike. So, I'm almost positive I mentally scarred my kids (again) today. But, we had some Panda Express for lunch. They're watching Kung Fu Panda. And we got all our school supplies. Which has nothing to do with pandas at all.
So that was our day.
I'm thinking roller derby should be my hobby of choice. For the next three weeks, anyway.
OH...and? I have plantar fasciitis. And of course, not for any of the normal reasons one gets that. I have it because I have a congenital DEFORMITY in my feet. So, I always thought I just had flat feet and that was it. No....what it is that my feet can't have an arch because where everyone has cartilage between the bones on the top of their feet, mine are fused together. Nice, genetics. Smooth move once again.
