Since my last journal entry we have spent more time in Tommy's van travelling the country. Last Tuesday we rocked it out in Auntie Annie's Belfast. It was a weird affair. Belfast was still in the grip of rioting and most people were avoiding the city centre, so I was pleasantly surprised we got a decent crowd. At the gig Dave Sherman gave me a copy of freeflow with our first two-article. An excellent well written piece, we'll hopefully now do more stuff with the magazine in the future.

On Friday we were in the Spirit Store, Dundalk with Leya and The Revs. We ended going on second and had a great gig to a great crowd. Dundalk definately warmed to us, although the pints of stout went straight to my head after the show. Returning to Dundalk was definately another weird experience. A year and a half ago I nearly was for packing music in due to being conned by a producer from the area losing thousands. On returning we played like kings and the sound in the venue was great. For such a musicial town I pity those who want to record there.

On Monday we graced NUI Galway and on entering the building at 5pm with was total madness with hundreds of pissed students. It was again a weird crowd to play too, but we took heart as they have a music society that either boos or cheers for bands that they hate or love. Thankfully we got cheers and had a bit of banter with them. They'll be pleased to know we have been invited back and so hopefully will announce a new date in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately Pravda has been cancelled on Wednesday night and I apologise to those who were going and I know it was quite a few. Reason is they double booked us, so have rescheduled the date for October 5th. Tommorrow I have been just told we will be played on the Gerry Anderson show on BBC Radio Foyle.

Once again just to remind people our new beat poets forum is up and running and we would urge people just for the banter to join. It's actually doing really we'll so far and there definately is a worldwide posse developing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Dublin, Austrialia to Columbia!!

Next week photographer Graham Smith http://www.livejournal.com/users/grahamsmith/ will be doing a photo documentary with the band as we play 'The Voodoo Lounge' Dublin (Part owned by Huey from the Fun Lovin Criminals) and The Empire Belfast.
