You may have heard I took a bus trip. I ended up taking 149 pictures on this trip. I've pared it down to less than ten, plus a few from my archives, to show you what I did.

Let's start with the cherries from my tree back in June:

These are peaches wrapped in prosciutto and grilled. Drizzled with fig balsamic vinegar and some ricotta salata on top. Next time I'll use nectarines and my broiler.

My daddy made me this when I came home. He really loves me. He made me sauerkraut and bratwurst even though he doesn't have a taste for either!

Deep fried pickles from Ajax in Oxford, Mississippi. They are better if you eat them without a flash. Less garish.

Jeyook bokum (spicy pork loin and vegetable stirfry) from Say Sushi in State College, PA

My favorite mug ever. At Anna's parent's house.

The volcano roll from Say Sushi on a different visit. Karen's thumb giving approval. It has crabstick and pickled radish inside, and avocado and a warm sauce of clam, octopus, flying fish roe and mayonnaise on top.

Paella from Sevilla in NYC. Not pictured are the mussels ajillo and the delicious sangria.

Turkey sandwich Pittsburgh style from the Corner Room in State College. Note the presence of french fries on the sandwich.

Fried egg sandwich on sourdough with provolone and sweet peppers from Gravy in Portland, OR. Delicious hashbrowns on the side. Not pictured: my adorable housemate Michael and the accordion player doing a rousing rendition of 99 Red Balloons.

Red curry squash from Sauvie Island, Oregon.

Your eyes should be stuffed.
