Here's what's new:
I took my job back at Food For Thought. I got a call asking me to come back after two days on the bus and I was so desperate for pleasant conversation, I accepted. And, because of this, I have to be taking 8 credits. So this morning was a desperate scramble to try and find something that fit and was interesting. So! This fall I have:
Tuesday Thursday:
8:00-9:50 HIST 468 - History of Mexico
12:00 - 13:50 SPAN 203 - Second Year Spanish
I may have to take the class starting at 2pm, for Spanish, they're both waitlisted. But hooray! I am excited for this! Plus I have a friend in the Mexican history class, so all is good.
Afterwards, we all bought books ($200!), went to Powells, and then ate Thai food. What a good day. I'm glad I'm home.
I'm really excited to go back to school, take classes, work 50 hours and probably have a research paper thrown in somewhere. What am I thinking? I was reading up on course listings (geek!) and I can take spanish 301 and 302 concurrently, which means in spring I could find myself happily soaked in spanish literature classes (taught in Spanish!) and then pack myself off to Mexico for a week or few in summer. And then, when I start my sophmore year, I will have all my requirements for one of my minors polished off. Take that!
