"Restroom Etiquette" Email

Sep 15, 2010 15:06

This is disgusting and sad that grownups would do this. It's apparently so serious that our Facilities Manager had to email all the other managers. C'mon now!

Dear Managers,

The custodians came to me today and informed me of an ongoing problem with the restroom in the employee break room. In the past 7 days, the custodians have found vomit in that restroom, which was not cleaned or flushed, unflushed excrement in the toilet, and the sink faucet left open until it overflowed.

In each instance, the offending party shut the bathroom door behind them after they left and the problem was not discovered until the custodians went in to clean.

It goes without saying that this type of behavior is not acceptable. Please communicate to your staff that they need to flush the toilet after use.

Additionally, the sink should be turned off after you are done using it. Failing to turn off the sink not only wasted water, but caused a small flood because that drain is slow.

Thank you for your help communicating this message.
