(no subject)
Spain is pretty.
It looks a lot like California, at least what I can see from the airport (aeropuerta) windows. I am dumbfounded at my inability to communicate with Spanish-speaking people. I didn't even think about this part of my journey and I'm now at a loss. It's not a huge upset, but I feel bad knowing I've overlooked an entire country. Also, I guess I just thought I'd be able to understand/say more than I can. Yo no habla espanol. I can barely remember how to say simple things like "Please" and "Thank you". My best effort is when the flight attendants asked me (in Spanish) if I want certain food items like milk for my coffee, or whether I want the chicken or steak dinner. I can answer those questions.
Well my time is limited here so i will depart for now.
