Weekend on the Beach

We had a fun weekend away from the city. Sat on the beach bundled up in about 5 layers of clothing, so much so I could barely move. It was warm and sunny, but there was a breeze that made you shiver. We planned badly and so didn't have very much money top eat or drink with. Once we got to the island, there was nothing there. A couple of hotels, one store and a couple of resturants--no bank machines. We found a place to stay right on the beach, which was great and it only cost us 10 bucks a night. It was this shack of a place and we got a small square room about the size of a bathroom. The lady who owned the place brought us some bedding and she put the heat on for the night so it was very cozy sleeping on the floor. They had three Chindogaes out back, one was a pup with floppy ears. I wannted to bring him back. There was a toilet that was more like an outhouse and one tap right on the beach. It was nice and serene to wash your face and brush your teeth while looking at the water. There weren't many people around at all, I would hate to see the place in the summer time though. On the bus ride back to the pier, you could see that there are little beaches scattered everywhere. My friend kept going on about the view and yes it was nice, but in my head I was just thinking, this is nothing compared to a view of downtown Toronto at night. Can't help it, I'm a city person through and through. We spent Sun. night in Incheon as we had to come back to the mainland because we had no money and had hardly eaten anything. By Sun. night all I had eatten since Sat. morning was some soup twice, some crackers, a chocolate bar, one fried egg, some mandu and one small bottle of water. THEN stupid me had some soju (not a lot) on Sun. night and of course I barely slept as I was waking up to puke and other stuff all night!! It was horrible. The next morning I just laid in bed dreading how I was going to make it back to the city. When I finally did make it home in the early afternoon, I couldn't sleep. My whole body just ached and my head hurt soo bad. I felt like I had been hit by a mack truck. Plus, I had on my pajamas, a sweatshirt, three blankets and I had to put the heat on (which I haven't done since like Feb) and I was still shivering. I was completely dehydrated. Such stupid things I do. I still haven't really been eating, but I have been drinking lots of water. I feel much better today, but I still feel a bit spacey. I'm still trying to decide what the heck I am going to eat tonight. I need some of Granma's stew. Heavy, but comforting. It will probaly be salsa and fruit.

Jason sent me pictures from the baby shower. I WANT TO GO HOME!! Ten days and counting!!

The Matrix is the Tues. night movie, so am happy about that!!
