in england they use bechamel in the lasagna and it just makes it so much creamier.
you know what i made that was amazing? buy some thin phyllo dough, sautee some mushrooms with onion and loads of butter and even a little goat cheese if you want, form triangles of 5 sheets of phyllo dough (each brushed with olive oil or butter) and bake in the oven at 375 for 12 minutes, or whatever the directions say. phyllo is amazing -- if you butter it right, it comes out delciously light and flaky and so good. i also tried some with roasted beets and goat cheese but i did them in little sachets. YUM!
oh yeah casserole: you make a good mac and cheese right? we should exchange recipes.
