So long, Sun Serif...

It's been a mad couple of weeks since we've legally been part of Oracle here in England. There have been meetings, there has been training, there has been drinking, and no doubt there will be more. I must say we've been made to feel very welcome. No doubt there will be some of the usual grinding of corporate gears as financial, benefits and holiday years are forced into alignment.

Like other acquisitions by our new masters, the brand is going to be kept [1], though it seems someone has had the sense to replace the (to my mind) overly ornate serif font used for the word "Sun" with a more modern sans-serif version. This I approve of.

It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Beyond more meetings, training, and so on. It's going to be a busy time. Once again, sorry for being somewhat absent.

[1] In stark contrast to my days at Saloman/Smith/Barney/Travellers now Citi.
