omg yay!
Okay, so I will have the obligatory "my life has been quite the suckfest of late" excuse post up shortly, but have been dragged out of depression by none other than surprise JASON FUCKING SMITH as he was just on an ad for the next ep of Your Gen.
Jase! Probably known as "that kid with glasses in all my icons of that Thor guy" to most these days, I guess. But before Chris Hemsworth was Thor, he was our sweet Kimothy, the hot blonde jock in love with his geeky best friend, Robbie. And I think, to me, Jason and Chris will ALWAYS be Robbie and Kim.
What on earth is Jason pimping, I wonder. Is he WORKING again? (Besides Red Dawn, which is on hold, and that other movie with Johnny Depp or whatever.) This would excite me a lot. Maybe he's releasing an album...I kinda hope not...still love you though, sweetheart! I can't wait until Sunday now. I'll be at my sister's, though. Will have to suck up so she'll let me watch. *g*
Anyway, other stuff that is happy-making:
+ This Saturday, I'm going to the footy so see my beloved Swannies! It's my last chance to watch Roosy coach and Kirky play and I can't wait. Beanie and scarf are already packed.
+ That new Bonds tube top ad:
That song, even this crappy cover of it, makes me feel like a teenager again. And then they throw in a SIMON DAY cameo, complete with trademark stripey shirt and leather jacket and suddenly I AM a teenage girl again. I was such a Ratcat fangirl. I still remember hearing that fuzzy guitar for the first time and looking up to see Simon Day flick that AMAZING hair out of his face and just, like, FALL IN LOVE instantly. We were up late a a slumber party watching Rage. Ahem. Ratact introduced wee!me (and Ben Lee) to the alternative music genre and I heart them so freaking much.
+ Superboy! Own title coming in a couple of months, and also, I'm liking the look of Young Justice so far. Not 100% happy with Conner teaming up with Dick and Wally instead of Tim and Bart, but I am intrigued with the idea of a 16 week old Conner and what he would be like in this situation. Especially if they decide to keep his Clark/Lex backstory.
+ Merlin! I didn't realise it was so close! This series, I am especially looking forward to Tom Ellis. He's our GARY! (Seriously, if you haven't watched Miranda yet, go do that now. You have plenty of time until Merlin starts. And then you'll be in love with Gary too. It is inescapable, really. He's way too adorable. I also quite liked him in Monday, Monday - office flirting FTW.
