OMG YOUR HAIR, CHRISTOPHER! WHERE HAS IT GONE?
*cough*
Also, man, I missed that arse in tight black pants. *Why* did people vote him out again? The mind boggles.
And I like the short, spiky 'do, but I think that in between length suits him best. Does this mean he's done being Kim forever, or Kim's lovely locks get the chop in the future? Hm.
ETA: I haven't given my wedding episode reaction yet. Shame on me.
The AWESOME (because I giggled and giggled and giggled during this ep, except for the times I cursed at the screen):
+ Kim hitches a ride with big burly biker guy. Big burly biker guy flirts with him. Kim then hitches a ride with the bowling ladies. Bowling ladies flirt with him. Kim hitches a ride on a stolen horse...yeah, okay, no, but I was totally expecting the horse to turn it's head and nuzzle Kim's thigh at some point.
Such a fitting Kim-story to have everyone attracted to him and he's just...all one-track-mind on his sense of duty and trying to ignore the perving.
+ Big burly biker guy was awesome. Someone needs to write how Kim repaid big burly biker guy for his assistance because I'm pretty sure a blowjob was involved. And what was it? The "Tatts and Chicks Show"? Because I think they're called "Tatts and Tits" around here but maybe the censors wouldn't allow that. *g* One classy guy there, and he's all, "No, mate, put those pretty young arms *around me*" as he revs the Harley and...OMG CHRIS ACTED! WITH FACIAL EXPRESSIONS! *wipes tears of joyous pride*
+ The bowling ladies were equally awesome. And poor old Cecil, too. Heh. Betty's on a power trip with Colleen away, and they bitch, bitch, bitch about each other, and they ogle Kim when he takes his shirt off and they make Madge Wilkins references and steal what must have been Colleen's line about the "nuts being too stiff". Ahahahaha! There is nothing better than Bowling Ladies/Kim scenes. Nothing! Except Robbie/Kim scenes but our days are done on that one.
+ I know it's terribly cliche, but Kim on horseback is quite possibly the sexiest thing EVER. Guh guh guh. I'm totally willing to ignore the fact that he stole the horse in front of the poor farmer who probably would have given him a lift if he'd asked because the image of those thighs gripping into the horse's flanks as they galloped along will STAY WITH ME FOREVER.
The okay:
~ Everything after Kim arrived to the wedding (thankfully his adventures took up most of the ep anyway). Meh. Weddings kind of bore me and Kim was the only person in the entire church I cared about, which brings me to...
The OMG YOU ARE ALL FUCKING IDIOTS AND I WILL STAB YOU:
- Barry Hyde was not at his own son's wedding. He's proved how much he loves Kim and then doesn't even think he should be there to see him wed? Whatever. And, sure, I know actors aren't always available when we want them, but they could have at least acknowledged Kim's character history with a mention. Maybe a phone call, or Irene and Beth giving a quick "Shame Barry couldn't cancel those matters concerning his trial to be here" or even a note which Morag could have read out saying "I love you and I'm proud you're my son." because Kim wants that more than anything and if we're going to wrap up this character in preparation for next year, that's something that should happen.
- Ditto with Robbie and Tash. Sure, they're in another country and couldn't make it, but again, *something* would have been nice. I *almost* thought they had. At the end when Kim and Rachel returned home to find the candles and romantic setting with the note, I started to tear up because I thought, awwww, I bet Robbie asked Beth or someone to do that for him. And then they read the note and it was from Brad and...such a wasted opportunity there, writers. It didn't *need* to be from Brad. You could have included characters IMPORTANT AND VITAL TO WHO KIM IS without taking anything away from anyone else.
- Oh, and Colleen should have been there, too. But at least she got a mention. That church looked quite empty because poor Kim really doesn't have any close friends any more. He's got Rachel and that's it and, yeah, it's a sure sign that they're not bothering with giving him new relationships this close to the end. At least he'll have Kit again soon.
- And is Summer Bay in some weird time warp? It's confusing. Brad goes to stall Rachel for half and hour, Tony goes to look for Kim. Brad and Rachel arrive at the church, Tony calls to say he found Kim's car an hour away and he'll be back soon. What? How does this make any sense? The entire thing was so poorly executed and typically sloppy and, dammit, if the Kim stuff hadn't hit so many kinks, I would been really pissed off.
But Kim and his great wedding quest was hilarious, and Chris looked hot, and he took his shirt off (briefly, but enough time for a quick ogle) and when H&A lays out the fanservice, I give my love.
