So is Lucas attracted to the new guy Matilda met at the messed-up-kids-retreat?
I mean, in *canon*?
Because the official site did mention a gay storyline coming up soon, and the fact that Lucas was "staring at Dean all the time" was mentioned in last night's ep about 50 times.
That would be really interesting to see play out. To see a main character explore these feelings and, hey, he might not even be *gay* as such at the end of it all, but it would be nice to show that it's *normal* to have such an attraction sometimes.
And it'd add new depth when Lucas stumbles upon Dean and Mattie kissing soon.
Meh, they'll probably just go with what I initially thought and have Dean come out somewhere along the line and possibly make a move on Lucas which will be rejected, then poor Dean will be shipped off to the land of gay soap characters who cannot get their own storylines.
Wait, is his name even Dean? I can't remember. Heh.
ETA: Spoilers. The person who leaves in a week or so is...My Kimothy?
This is way earlier than thought so I predict a Kim comeback sometime before he truly leaves early next year. Still, it'll be a trial run for the real thing and you can bet I'm going to get all teary and wah about it.
The thing is, with Robbie and Tash leaving soon, too, I hope he's back to say his goodbyes to them at least. I don't want Robbie to leave Summer Bay without Kim being there. And I don't want Kim to leave without Robbie hugging him.
You hear me, monkeys? *shakes fist* Make them hug. I'm demanding actual, extended, physical contact. And manly pats on the back, and maybe Robbie trying to sneakily wipe away tears from behind his glasses. Ooh! And get Tash to join in, too, so my OT3 is all together on screen for one last time....
...dammit, I'm starting to tear up already!
We should have a bon voyage party in a post. We can post pics and drabbles etc and talk about the good old days and get drunk on Lighthouse Beer. It'll be fun. And you can save me from falling into a deep depression. Yay!
