THEY were on, then off, on, then off. Now they're definitely off.
As Isabel Lucas prepares to leave Home And Away next month for what she hopes will be greener pastures, sources have confirmed her topsy-turvy relationship with co-star Chris Hemsworth is over for good.
The cute couple said a final goodbye a month ago, just before pictures of Lucas with a mystery man, taken while she was on a European holiday, appeared in a women's magazine.
The first Hemsworth heard of her fling was when he saw the pictures in the mag.
"We are great friends and I will leave it at that," Hemsworth said on Friday.
While he was reluctant to speak about Lucas, Hemsworth was effusive in his praise of Home and Away, but revealed he planned to leave the show next year.
"I am hoping to head to the US to have a look around over there," he said.
A source said things had been a little awkward on set, but not to worry for hunky Hemsworth. "He's always done quite well for himself when it comes to female attention," our source said.
In the meantime, Channel 7 clearly sees Hemsworth as a valuable talent.
He is filming a report on Phillip Island for The Great Outdoors this weekend and was pursued by the network to take part in both Dancing With the Stars and It Takes Two.
Wait, Isabel cheated on Chris? I she *insane*? Hopefully Jason and Mark are comforting him right at this moment. Well, before Jase leaves for the weekend to be stalked by our H&A spy network. *g*
Also interesting to note when they're leaving. Issy next month (!!!WTF?) and Chris NEXT YEAR! Chris, you asshole, you told me THIS year. I was only expecting to have to put up with the show for a few more months. And this totally ruins my dream of all my kids driving off into the sunset together.
But where does this leave Jase, I wonder. Will Robbie leave with Tash next month (or, if they're talking about her leaving the set next month, in a few months)? Will this thing with Jack cause Tash to leave on her own? Will...will...will Robbie not make it out of the bush alive next week? I haven't seen any mention of him in spoilers, and I cracked up laughing when one article said the pilot and Martha were ill from the manky water and Belle had been bitten by a poisonous spider and Robbie was left to cry for help because, heh, so many disasters. But what it we're all led to believe Robbie is fit and fine and then BAM, falling boulder and pancake!Robbie? This looks like a job for a secret agent this weekend. *g*
And I love how Ch 7 are trying to pimp Chris everywhere before his contract is up. Maybe they should have concentrated of giving Kim decent storylines so Chris wouldn't be so desperate to get out. Idiots.
