a poll, and other things

I'm planning on keeping myself amused/distracted until Sunday when I'll be able to see Superman Returns and join in the squee (because there *will* be squee, oh yes). So here's the first part of my plan which should also involve picspams, comics scans, MP3 sharing and maybe even some toyporn.

random fannish poll )

poll, superman, sims, h&a

Toy!porn? Awesome.

Home and Away really is so bad when you don't have any fun or eye candy for days on end. It's just so boring. And yeah, the only character I can bring myself to care about that's not on the helicopter is Tasha. How much did I love that she mentioned Kim before everyone else when listing all the people she cared about who were in the crash, though.

Okay, the whole ending to the Zoe storyline was just really wrong. And that's why I'm thinking that it's possibly not the end. Do you think they could have just posted that horrible lame comment up at the website to get people off track? Or am I just making excuses for the badness of it all?

I'm really hoping the next couple of weeks with the boys stranded makes up for it all. I can handle Robbie or Kim dying if the writers handled it well, mostly just because I don't really care to be watching Alf being all angry with heart problems (can they just kill *him* off already?) or Cassie/Ric/Macca triangles or Lucas possibly being the father of some chicks baby.

I picked pilot as dying ('cause duh) and Kit (expendable like you said, and enough people care about her) and Martha (for wishful even-though-it-won't-happen thinking)

How many sympathy fan letters do you think Em gets? Because it's probably not that many and you might get a reply!or a restraining order ;-)

Haven't seen that much of Brandon so my opinions are kinda based on your opinions through here *g*

Did you catch the Glass House? I was kind of listening and heard comments of the "gay" and "superman" sort.

Well, I have these giant Superman and Batman action figures just begging for porn. *g*

How much did I love that she mentioned Kim before everyone else when listing all the people she cared about who were in the crash, though.

I meant to comment on that, too! With Barry gone (and therefore forgotten by everyone even though his son could be dead - just like Henry who is only in the city yet couldn't make it to the wedding that even *Kit* returned for) there's really only Rachel left to care about Kim while everyone else has their families all grouping together and crying. So it was nice to see Tasha remember their bond in the middle of her almost-childbirth. If he dies, that baby is so going to be called Kimberly, boy or girl. But I'm willing to bet she'll have a girl called Kit.

Yeah, we're getting a taste of what the show will be like without Robbie and Kim and I certainly don't like it. They're even grooming Lucas to replace Kim with his first paternity storyline. *g* And the reason they can't find the helicopter is because their main SES dude, Kim, is missing. You can't have a rescue operation without Kim. Poor pilot from A Country Practice didn't stand a chance. Oh, the fickle TV industry - one minute you're in the biggest scene of the decade when your wife dies in front of you, 20 years later you're cannon fodder on a crappy soap. *g*

Yeah, I don't think Em's mail volume would be as high as the big H&A hunks. I should write something. And it's not like she has much else to do in between random commercial gigs. *snerk*

Heh, I saw them joking about Supes and the jesus/gay thing on the Glass House tonight. Margaret actually had some intelligent input on the subject (amongst tired old underwear-on-the-outside jokes) but then she had to go and ruin it with her review in the next show. She also touched on "no characterisation" in superhero movies during the Glass House which raised my hackles a little.

Shane Withington plays the pilot? Er, if this is the guy whose wife died in front of him that I'm thinking of... ;) There was more than one on ACP but it's Brendan I think of first...

Yep, that's him! Couldn't remember his name. *g* He just walked into the hospital, rounded up the plastic surgery people and took them away to his helicopter. I suspect that could be the last we see of him.
